The Friends of Chenery Park Complex, in partnership with the town, is currently engaging interested community members in a conversation to create a vision for this collective space.

If Town Meeting approves funding in May 2024, a design team vetted by the Recreation Department will be selected and start preliminary designs in July 2024. In September we will host a series of public forums to gather community input to inform a final design. An ideal timeline will have design completed by February 2025 which would allow construction to begin as early as the Fall of 2025 pending town approval.

The details of construction will be defined by the final plan. Our expectation is that the construction will likely be phased because of the needs of the school and community groups that use the space.
